Gatheroo has a range of field types for collecting different kinds of information from clients. This guide gives a quick overview of every available field type and links to the individual guide for each one.
Text fields
- Single Line of Text: short single-line responses, with options for number-only input and character length limits.
- Text Area: longer multi-line responses, with optional rich text editor and character count.
- Text Description: read-only text block for instructions or compliance notices.
Contact fields
- Name: structured name with configurable components (title, first, middle, last).
- Email: validated email address with options for work-only and domain restrictions.
- Phone: validated phone number.
- Address: structured postal address with configurable components.
- Link: validated URL / web address.
Selection fields
- Single Select: choose one option from a list. The only field type that triggers conditional logic.
- Multi-Choice: choose multiple options from a list.
Date fields
- Date: single date via date picker.
- Date Range: start and end date via two date pickers.
File and signature
- File Upload: upload documents with optional file type and quantity limits.
- Signature: digital signature drawn by the client.
Structured data
- List: multiple rows of information in a table format, with optional custom columns.
