What this field does: The Single Line of Text field collects a short, single-line response from clients. For example, a reference number, account name or any brief piece of information. You can restrict it to numbers only, set character or digit length requirements, and enable end-to-end encryption for sensitive data.

- Open your request in the Request Builder.
- In the left-hand field menu, click Single Line of Text to add it to the current section.
- Click the field on the canvas to open its settings on the right.
- Enter a Field Name – this is the question your client will see.
- Optionally add a Placeholder – example text shown inside the field before the client types.
