My Account settings are personal to each team member. Every user on your Gatheroo account can manage their own profile, notification preferences, email address, integrations, and security settings, independently of other team members.

Accessing My Account Settings

Select My Account from the left-hand menu. This expands to reveal all your personal settings.

Changes you make here only affect your own account, they do not impact other team members.

My Details

Set up your personal profile, including your name, phone number, address, user role, and a profile photo. You can also add an email signature here — this appears on request invitations you send to clients. Access My Details via the left-hand menu under My Account, or by selecting your profile image in the top-right corner of the screen.

Automated Reminders

Automated Reminders has two tabs: Admin Notifications and Contact Message Scheduling.

1. Admin Notifications

Control which email notifications you receive about activity on your requests (requests where you are the “request owner”).

Four notification types are available:

  • Request Activity (a daily summary of new responses received)
  • Requests Responses Completed (when all responses are submitted by your client)
  • Request Due Date (a reminder on the day a request is due), and
  • Request First Viewed (when a client opens their magic link for the first time). All four are on by default.

2. Contact Message Scheduling

Set the default schedule for automated reminder emails sent to your clients.

These defaults apply to all new requests you create, and can be overridden on individual requests.

Depending on your User Role – you may be able to enable the Global Override to apply your settings across all users on the account.

Available message types include:

  • Request Due Soon (1, 3, or 7 days before the due date),
  • Request Overdue (every 2, 4, 7, or 14 days),
  • Request Due Today,
  • Request Due Date Changed, and
  • Request Owner Changed.

Email Settings

By default, Gatheroo sends notifications from noreply@gatheroo.io.

Use Email Settings to send them from your own email address instead, so that your clients recognise who the messages are from.

You will need to verify your email address before it can be used.

Note: domain verification in Global Settings must be completed first if you want to send from a custom domain.

Integrations

Connect Gatheroo to third-party tools to streamline your workflow. Current integrations include:

  • Zapier — connect Gatheroo to over 7,000 apps to automate your workflows
  • OneDrive (Beta) — automatically sync client files and responses to your chosen OneDrive folders
  • Google Drive (Beta) — automatically sync client files and responses to your chosen Google Drive folders

2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)

Add an extra layer of security to your Gatheroo login.

When 2FA is enabled, you will be asked to enter a 6-digit code sent to your email each time you log in.

This helps protect your account further.

Password Reset

Use Password Reset to update your Gatheroo login password at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do My Account settings affect other team members on my Gatheroo account?

No. My Account settings, including your profile, notification preferences, and email address, are personal to you.

Each team member manages their own settings independently.

The exception is Contact Message Scheduling, where enabling the Global Override will apply your settings across all users on the account.

How do I change the email address Gatheroo uses to send my notifications?

Go to My Account → Email Settings and enter your preferred email address.

You will receive a verification email, follow the link to confirm it.

Once verified, Gatheroo will send your client notifications from that address instead of noreply@gatheroo.io.

Can I turn off email notifications from Gatheroo?

Yes. Go to My Account → Automated Reminders → Admin Notifications and toggle off any notification types you do not need.

You can also control the frequency and types of reminder emails sent to your clients under Contact Message Scheduling.

How do I add a profile photo in Gatheroo?

Go to My Account → My Details and click the photo area on the left of the screen.

Select an image from your computer (JPEG, JPG, PNG, or GIF, maximum 3.1 MB) and save.

Your photo will appear on your profile within Gatheroo.

How do I connect Gatheroo to Zapier?

Go to My Account → Integrations and select Zapier.

Generate your API token and use it to connect your Gatheroo account in Zapier.

From there you can create Zaps to automate actions between Gatheroo and thousands of other apps.
