What this does: By default, Gatheroo sends request and reminder emails from a Gatheroo address. You can configure Gatheroo to use your own email address instead — so clients see emails from you, not from a generic Gatheroo address. This improves trust, deliverability, and brand consistency.
This setting works alongside Domain Verification. You should complete domain verification before setting a custom send address, to ensure emails are authenticated and avoid spam filtering.
How to set your email address for notifications
1. Go to My Account -> Email Settings in the left-hand menu.

2. If your domain is not yet verified – you will see this screen. The account owner will need to follow the steps to verify the domain before individual email addresses can be added and verified.

3. Enter the email address you want clients to see in the Preferred email address field, then select “Verify Email”. Ensure you have access to this email inbox as you will need to verify it with an email sent by Gatheroo.

4. If accepted, you will then be directed to your emails to verify the email address.

5. Find the email from Gatheroo and client on the verification link. The email will look like the sample below:

6. Once verified, you will see a message from Gatheroo on your browser letting you know everything is set up.

7. Your email will now be used to send client emails where you are the Request Lead. You can come back to this setting should you need to amend the email address.

Note: For your emails to send reliably from your own domain, the domain must be verified in Global Settings → Domain Verification. You cannot connect an email address without verification.
