What this does: For Multi-Choice and Single Select fields, you can choose whether the options are displayed horizontally (side by side) or vertically (stacked in a column). The choice is purely visual, it doesn’t affect how the data is collected. Vertical is generally clearer for longer option labels; horizontal works well for short options like Yes / No or Male / Female / Other.

How to change the display layout

  1. Open your request in the Request Builder.
  2. Click the Multi-Choice or Single Select field you want to adjust.
  3. In the settings panel, find the Display as a horizontal list vs. vertical option.
  4. Toggle this on to display options Horizontally.
  5. The canvas will update immediately so you can preview how it looks in the Preview Tab.

What clients see

Clients see the options arranged exactly as you’ve set them: either side by side or stacked.
