How to Use End-to-End Encryption in Gatheroo

What is End-to-End Encryption?

End-to-end encryption is a security feature that ensures your text data remains private and secure. When you enable this option, your text is encrypted (or coded) as it leaves your device, and can only be decrypted (or decoded) by the intended recipient. This means that no one else, not even us at Gatheroo, can read the content of your text.

Activating End-to-End Encryption on Text Fields:

  1. Locate the Text Field: Create or open the field where you wish to enter sensitive information.
  2. Toggle Encryption On: Click on the ‘“⚙” icon from either the sidebar or the field. Find the toggle switch labeled ‘Enable Encryption’ near the text field. Simply switch it to ‘On’ and ‘Save’ to activate encryption.
  3. Enter Your Text: Once the encryption is active, type in your text as usual. The encryption works seamlessly in the background.
  4. Send with Confidence: After you’ve entered your text, proceed as you normally would. Rest assured, your text is now securely encrypted.

Remember: When the encryption is turned on, only the intended recipient can decrypt and read your text.

 

 

You can keep encryption toggled off for less sensitive information, and to maximise speed, where encryption is not necessary.
